Put all the stuff together that you are going to bring to the hall. Confirm date/times with your vendors. Other than that, RELAX!! The time is going to go so fast, don't worry about the small things!

Make a list of things that you need to finish, and try to cross off at least one thing per day. That is what I did, and it really helps!

don't drink too much - everyone told me it would be impossible to get drunk on my wedding day.....yeah, right.

Make a list of things, in order of priority, that you need to get done and just chip away at it. If you can't get everything done, try not to worry, in the end, it won't matter at all. Just try to relax and be calm, and soak in as much as you can.

I agree about the drinking too, have a glass of champagne, leave any of the stronger stuff for after you've eaten something, it's easy to forget to eat, so be sure to do that too, even if you don't feel hungry!

My best advice is to just let go...
once the day of the RD comes, things are mostly out of your hands and just roll with whatever happens from that point on.

And also SMILE... I smiled from ear to ear the whole day (even when the florist was over an hour late and one of the GM ripped my gown) and the guests are happier. Your guests want to be at a wedding where the bride and groom are genuinely happy.

Just relax and enjoy every moment because the day goes so fast.

Good luck and best wishes!

Don't worry about what you can't control - the weather, other people's behavior - let it go. You'll be happier for it!

Make a list of what you need to get done.

Sleep this night before! I took a little bit of Nyquil and it helped so much.

EAT a little something the morning of, even if you're not hungry. I was glad I did because I started on mimosas at 11am!

I didn't even have time to drink! They made sure my glass was never empty, but I didn't even have any time to empty it!! Defintely eat the morning of because the rest of the day will be so hectic. I ate a bagel and a couple of cookies. Getting ready at 6am was the most relaxiing part of the day!

Great advice--just adding two things....if something goes wrong, just go with it, most likely only you and DH will know.

Step back at least once an hour with your DH just to take it all in....the day goes by much too fast!!!

Re: Married LAdies...any advice

1. Get the threads here for the TO-DO lists and check them all off

2. Get the 'things you forgot on your big day' thread and do the same

3. Allow triple the time you thought something would take (hair, makeup, packing, etc.).

4. Assign people duties. One person to fix your train, one to tell you if you need a makeup touch-up, one to do your bustle, etc.

5. If you wear contacts, bring TWO pairs wherever you're staying the night before. I lost one the morning of in the sink. We found it after 30 minutes hanging from the bottom of the faucet.

6. Buy cheap matching umbrellas if it rains; you can still take pictures outside!

7. Stop during the day with your husband and take it all in. This is great advice someone here gave. We did, and it was like taking a picture in your mind.

8. HAVE FUN!! Don't let anything get in the way of that!

9. Use your bridal assistant and Maitre D as much as possible. They're getting tipped for servicing you. Make sure they earn it.

10. Try to visit every table either alone or with your husband. People remember if you don't get to them.

I'll add more if I think of them!!

Re: Married LAdies...any advice

I made sure I had everything I needed for the day of the day before. I put all the money I owed the vendors in seperate envolopes and labled. I had a bag to bring to the hall of lipstick, deodorant, face powder, hairspray, vendors envolopes, BM gifts. And had a suitcase for the hotel of everything we needed.
Just take deep breaths and relax. I cant stress that enough!! I waited almost 2 hours in the bridal suite for the time to come and it really felt like 30 mins. I was so nervous and excited.

Make sure you have your bride's emergency kit ready. Also make sure to take a few times throughout the wedding ay to just be with your new DH. Those little stolen moments will mean the most later on.

in addition I'd recommend:
preparing the gratuity envelopes with little note in pencil of how much $$ to put ofr each vendor.

giving the must have pic list to photographer
song list to DJ

MOST OF ALL RELAX & ENJOY!
