Re: Married LAdies...any advice

The must-have photo list is something a lot of women regretted not doing in another thread about 'after-wedding regrets'.

Not just the list of people and combinations (which my photographers thanked me up and down for) but styles. We said we wanted candids, non-posed, lots of pictures of the kids, table pictures of everyone. And they did it all.

The goodie bag with all your all-day must haves is so important. I entrusted my Matron of Honor with that duty.

The envelopes with the tips is also a great one. Just don't seal the envelopes before you give them out. You may want to take a $20 out here or give an extra $20 there. Besides, since this is usually entrusted to a man (best man or groom), let's face it; you'll need it to be simplified.

Also, if you're having extra flowers, specify someone ahead of time who will take them home with them. We had two big pots of flowers that my sister packed in her car along with my parents and her 2 kids.

Honestly, just relax - the lists on this website just made me nervous and to be honest, on the day of, it was my wedding day - I didn't care what happened and neither will you.

Have faith in the Milleridge - they've done this a million times and they do it really well. We had Steve and Pam on the day of, and they were awesome!

Have fun!!!

My one major tip: Don't forget to EAT the week before your wedding!!!!

I had my final fitting the sunday before my wedding and 6 days later, by sat (my wedding day) my dress was a little too big. It fit great at my fitting (almost a little TOO tight) but on the day of the wedding it was a tad loose, esp after all the pics and stuff it loosened up a lot. This also made it a little too long so I tripped on it a few times. In that week before the wedding i probably lost a few pounds... def not on purpose. So, don't forget to EAT... or try to have a final fitting closer to your wedding day. My seamstress told me to eat ice cream every night before bed so I wouldn't lose weight but I didn't listen. My dress still looked great, but I wish it was a bit more fitted. HTH!!!!

Oh and DO the table cameras!!!! We got GREAT shots... almost every picture came out awesome. We did 5 black & white cameras and the rest color. The b&w ones came out so good. Be sure to get the fuji 800 speed film color cameras. Great quality pics. So glad we did them!

Just enjoy yourselft the day of!!!! Eat, drink and don't worry about things, if something doesn't go the way that you wanted it to brush it off.

Re: Married LAdies...any advice

The best advice I had seen on this site and used, was trying not to get separated from your husband the day of the reception.

DH is not a big dancer, so I didn't dance as much as I anticipated, but that worked out perfectly. We had a blast watching some of the activities of the guests and we caught things together that we wouldn't have noticed otherwise. Don't get me wrong, I danced and had fun with guests, but it was nice to still have 'our' time in a room filled with guests.

Also, after all the planning, it's nice to watch
others appreciate your hard work

The other tidbit, relax and enjoy the experience. Our wedding was on Sunday, with our RD on Friday. That afternoon was a bit crazy b/c DH had gotten the flu or a horrible stomach virus, so my best friend and bridesmaid did the last minute running together. But, once the RD came, that was it. Everything that needed to be done and delivered was done. It was out of our hands. So, we enjoyed the rehearsal and dinner with friends, and enjoyed our day in between. I was so relaxed come Saturday night that some of the girls who stood by me were laughing b/c I was doing laundry and some light housework b/c I was bored.

The point. . . relax, enjoy your day, and no one will notice the little details but you, so if something goes wrong just let it go. No point in ruining a day that you have planned and fussed over, over something that you can't control. The day only happens once, you can't do it over.

Good luck to all still planning

Re: Married LAdies...any advice

Go over EVERYTHING with someone you designate to be the person in charge - your mom, your MOH, SOMEONE other than you and your FH. That way if things go astray they know what should be happening and can make decisions without everything having to go through you. That makes for a much less stressful day.

don't worry about anything. it will all be perfect and no one will notice if there wasn't something done right. we just stopped caring about the little things and everything was fine. neither of us were nervous, we were just very relaxed and happy!!!

Everything will be fine and congrats on the upcoming day!!! You will have a blast!!!!!
