when i gave each set of parents the proof albums, i told them that the proofs are not to leave the house and they cant show the albums to anyone.

i have no problem with showing people the album of proofs, but come to me. you know? and the thing is, the same people they are visiting will be here in a few weeks.

Neither set asked, so I didn't have to deal with it, but if they're reliable in that you know they're really going to bring them back next weekend or whever they say they will, why not? They're just pictures. Unless you don't own the negatives. But if you have negatives, just threaten them that if anything happenes they have to pay for reprints of every single proof!

i really don't think something would happen, but why should i let her take them with her? they will be here in a few weeks and can see them then. i just hate that she assumed that she could take them

Nope, instead I would scan a bunch and give her a cd. That way, nothing can happen to the originals.

UM....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FREAKIN' WAY! i wouldn't let my own mother take them....more for fear of what my sister [16 years old] would do to them. i am protective of these things. it might be mean, but if they get lost or ruined, that is $$$$ out of MY pocket, you know?

no, my dad took them to show them to my grandparents and left them there! so no, I would not let anyone take them away again!
can you get your proofs online so you MIL can show them off? I can understand how she would want to show here friends, but I also understand your situation.

we could put some on a disk and give her that. but there are a lot and anyone who has scanned knows it takes forever.
i told her no and that seemed to be the end of it. i just don't want it coming up again.

My father wanted to bring my proofs with him to South America to show the family. I refused and instead made a copy of the proof disks for him to bring.
