your mil or your mom take your proofs with her out of state? only to PA, but my mil wants to take them with her when they visit friends. i said no, only b/c we are working on the album and also b/c i really don't want them out of my sight.

Nope! My mom took them to her house for 2 weeks when she was doing her album, but that is 2 miles from me!

No way. I don't let mine out of my sight...Mostly because we've had everyone in our families put post-it notes on the pictures they want for their albums, so I don't want things to get messed up.
Our proofs are seen on a 'supervised visitation' basis!

They're staying in town. My family and FH's family can just wait to see them. I plan on making my parents come into town to look and choose there's for their album.

I have all of my proofs in albums so they would be easy to travel with. I wouldn't have a problem with my mom or mil wanting to take them somewhere. Although, my proofs can also been seen online so there really wouldn't be a need for anyone to take the actual proofs anywhere. I guess it just depends on how you feel about it. If my mil or mom was clumsy or a space cadet, I would probably say no for fear that she might leave them behind somewhere.

I let myself take the to PA for Labor Day Weend an I forgot them there!!! If i can forget them, then I am sure anyone else could. So NO I wouldn't let anyone take them anywhere now!

Hell no!! I love my proofs. I stare at them everyday. Scan and print her out copies. They look the same.

I put all all of my proofs in an album for now and had my grandmother ( who was going on vacation in Florida).. bring them to my parents in Florida!!! I wanted my mom and pick out the pics she wanted in her album personally and they really wanted to see them. I got them back a week later.

I let my MIL take a copy of the proof dvd to show to dh's uncle and wife who were unable to attend.
I would NOT let anyone take originals of any printed proofs...sticky fingers can get cut off by a pissy bride with missing photos
