Does anyone have any experience dealing with them or staying here?

Re: Marriott Courtyard Farmingdale

that is where our hotel block is caughtmyfish is using them too! we haven't stayed there but we went to look at it since our guests will be there and the woman told me they renovated the last few yrs. we went and peeked in a few rooms and they were nice and clean, there is a gym/pool for guests, etc. Are you planning your hotel block there? if yes they offer a shuttle too if you book a certain number of rooms!

Re: Marriott Courtyard Farmingdale

Yes! Thats where I am planning on booking our block- I've been playing phone tag with Randy though! CLM recommended them for the shuttle as well :) I'm glad you have seen it- FH and I haven't had a chance to get there and see it yet, but I figured it was nice because my family flies out of Republic a lot and I remember it was just built in the last couple of years.

Re: Marriott Courtyard Farmingdale

We are using them for our hotel block. It's a fairly new hotel. I'm pretty sure it was only built in the last 6-8 years. The hotel does provide a shuttle for weddings that book 10 or more rooms. They have two 13 passenger vans to use but it's on a first come first serve basis so if another wedding is using them and they reserved it they will get priority. Not usually a big deal though. We have had no problem adding rooms.

Re: Marriott Courtyard Farmingdale

I booked with them and they were very very very nice. The bridal suite was huge, they offered complimentary shuttle service to my RH and they were so so so easy to work with.
Only 2 things went wrong;

1. while the bridal party & I were getting ready, all the hairblowers, etc. we were using blew out a circuit....the promptly found us another suite within 10 minutes, but then the electricity came back and we just stayed where we were. They totally understood how important my day was and were nice and quick to fix everything.

2. I had a sunday wedding, and we had like 20 people in our suite after the reception and someone in the room next door knocked on our door b/c we were too loud and they were actually in town for a funeral. Its not really the Marriot's fault, its not like they knew those people were in town for a funeral next to a wedding party, and I kinda wanted DH's stupid drunken cousin to leave anyway, so we moved the party to the bars downstairs and everyone had a good time.

Re: Marriott Courtyard Farmingdale

The bar downstairs is not open on Sunday night past 10 I believe, however you can bring down your drinks in cups and hang in the lobby area, or outside courtyard. They just dont want a ton of bottles lying around.

The rooms are really nice, and the pool/gym are a great feature. You can arrange to pay for OOT guests breakfast the morning after your wedding if you are not hosting a brunch. They can place vouchers in the OOT bags and when someone redeems it, then you will be charged. We are doing this.

HTH, or send FM w more questions!

Re: Marriott Courtyard Farmingdale

We had a great experience with them - that was where our hotel block was... They were easy to work with and very accommodating.

The hotel bar will stay open late if you ask them to on your contract... We had the option of having it openn til 2 or 3 am.... and we did!
