what she did...isn't as bad as waht he friend at imclone did...
she could have actually got off quite easy (few $1000 in fines) if she had just fessed up in the beginning...
I really doubt she'll get any jail time...

Actaully what she did is pretty serious...insider trading and tippee liability. That plus the fact that the government wants to make examples of people so that they can try to minimize such trading...

Actually she was indicted on obstruction of justice and securities fraud, not insider trading - they opted not to press those charges awhile back.
I think it's a valuable lesson for all celebs to learn - they get in trouble for their actions too. They are not any better, any smarter or any more immune to this than we are. I think it's great they're making an example out of her.
not to justify her actions...but I think it would be very hard for ANY of us to not sell our stock in a company...when the CEO who you and your daughter are/were sleeping with...told you something detrimental...
the obstruction of justice is a different thing...if she hadn't done that, she would have gotten off with a slap on the wrist...IMO

If this was I who had done this, I would have never gotten these charges against me, but since she is a celebrity, and alot of people don't like her, they decided to make an example of her.
