I saw an idea for placecards in the Martha Stewart Weddings magazine that I totally fell in love with. She had miniature bud vases with a little fake flower in it with the name/table # written on a tag attached to the stem of the flower. I would love to do this for my placecards but the problem is that I have no idea where to get those vases. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Michaels may have them, or even like a party-city place.

Re: Martha Stewart placecard idea question
My friend found tiny bud vases at Pier One and used them for her wedding - they were really reasonable and cute. They had three or four different types. Another place that may be more expensive but I know they always have them is Crate & Barrel. They have a nice variety of colors and shapes too. Other than that - maybe try a craft store like Joann's or Michaels. Good luck!

Also, check out IKEA if you can. They have a pretty large assortment of vases. You might find something there and they're cheap!

Ikea has really cute ones right now that come 3 or 4 in a pack and are pretty inexpensive. I would also try Michaels.

Re: Martha Stewart placecard idea question
Meg9-20-02... I saw that in Martha Sterwart's Brides magazine also and it's definitely a possibility for me to do also. I think it's absolutely adorable. The flowers were actually in little juice glasses, not little vases. You could ask your caterer if you can use their glasses. I'm going to ask mine.

Re: Martha Stewart placecard idea question
Thanks for your help everyone - Metphan - I actually just found out they were juice glasses - I had no idea! I just found the vases/juice glasses (whatever!) on a website - www.save-on-crafts.com. They had them for about $1.75 each but they were charging like $50 for shipping and handling! I am definitely going to check out Ikea, Crate & Barrell, etc. I'll also check with my hall about using theirs. Thanks!
