Martha Stewart Weddings

I was skimming though the new Martha Stewart's mag. and saw the cutest idea for place cards. They were litte seats with the name of your guest and ther table# on it. Ther was a sign on the table that said 'Please Take You Seat'. They showed you how to make them yourself, and now I'm kicking myself in the butt for not buying it. I was wondring if anyone here has the mag. and can post the directions Martha Stewart gives. It looked really easy! Thanx!

Re: Martha Stewart Weddings

If calligraphing the names and numbers, do so after the chairs are formed., If printing, do so before cutting the paper.. The name goes on the panel for the back, and table number on the panel for the seat.

1. To form each paper chair, you will need one 81/2 by 11 strip of card stock; you can fit three on this sheet. Use a bone folder to score each strip into four sections: a top one thats 4 1/4 inches long, then three equal 21/8 inch sections.
2. Fold the strip at the top score line, the short section of the L will be the chairs back.
3. Bring the horizontal part of the strip down as shown, and fold at the next score line, forming the chair back and starting thes seat.
4. Fold the strip down at the front of the seat to make the front legs. Use a glue stick pr double sided tape to secure the two layers of the chair back togetgher. Set right side up, and trim, if necessary.
