my family is from nantucket (rival island) so ive never actually been to MV (i might get disowned!) but ive heard its beautiful. i know the cottages are all gingerbread style and adorable. if its anything like nantucket, its gonna be ridiculously expensive... like thousands of dollars a week for a tiny cottage! you can fly from mac arthur now i think, or drive to cape cod/hyannis to take the ferry.
You might have a hard time finding a house to rent for this summer. Things usually book up pretty fast over there. Another option would be to rent in Falmouth or Hyannis. Both have ferries to go to the Vineyard and Nantucket, and things will be a lot less expensive there. Have fun, I LOVE Martha's Vineyard!!!
