Martha's Vineyard/Nantucket etc..

I know there have been previous posts about htis type of thing, but I wanted to see if anyone had suggstions from personal experience..
We're getting maried in July and we're thinking of doing a local type HM and then a bigger honeymoon in the Winter ( I teach, so on a school vacation).

My question is...does anyone have any suggestions for either Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket or somewhere else we can go for just a couple of days?? Looking for hotel and 'stuff to do' type help!!!
(I do Block Island every year, so somewhere else..)

My family had a house in Martha;s Vineyard years ago.....and the summers we went were fabulous! I LOVE MV and nantucket and tell michael that we have to go there all the time.

I am also doing the same type of thing. I am going on a cruise to Bermuda but it's only for 5 days, so we will go to Nantucket/Martha's Vineyard also for a week.

We will spend the week following the wedding at FH's family's beach house in CT and will do local things... then go on our real honeymoon in October to Italy!!
