I am going to take Kung Fu I think. I am going to see 3 different schools tonight with frank that are in my area. Does anyone else take any kind of martial art?

Cool! I took Karate for about 3 years. I loved it. FH and I are going to look into schools in our area because I really miss taking classes and he's always wanted to get into martial arts.
The one thing that I liked about my school was that it taught a 'street fighting' form of karate, so it took traditional karate and adapted it to real-life situations, like rape, being strangled, held at knife-point, etc. We also had to learn a bunch of different forms of martial arts, and Kung Fu was one of them.

great thanks!!!! frank loves taking kempo...im not to into that.. i want to strickly learn Kung Fu... are you in Nassau County?

My fi is a karate instructor, with a small studio (not on LI) We do Tang Soo Do, which is Korean. I'm still just a white belt, but I have fun and it's great exercise, too!
