I have a friend whose Mom does MAry Kay and suggested it for the wedding...I'm a Clinique girl WHEN I actually use makeup so I'm a little scared....

I just went for a make-up trial last night with the mary kay lady
I loved it and Im also a clinique girl. I actually went to a trial with a mac girl and I honestly think I like Mary Kay better? I think maybe it was just the colors that they used.

how do you like the makeup Kel?? I'm worried it might make my skin break out. Someone at work told me her friend uses it and one day it was hot, and she was sweaty, and when she wiped her face, you saw where her hand wiped.....

I was a true clinique girl until my secretary started selling Mary Kay and did a free trial for me for fun....then I switched to Mary Kay cleansing products, foundation, powder, blush, lipstick.....I liked it all alot but I switched jobs so now I'm back to Clinique.
ETS: I love MK's Satin Lips and Satin Hands!!

i use MK and have been for about 4 years..was married three years ago and could not find anyone who would do makeup the day of the wedding at the hotel for a reasonable price... in the end my SIL did it and she was my MK rep...and it turned out GREAT...not professional but all my pics look great!
MK stuff is not that cheap...but I dont know clinique prices

I used Mary Kay for my wedding and was HORRIFIED by the condition of my skin on my honeymoon. I didn't just break out here and there - it was like my skin turned into blotchy bubble wrap with welts and blisters everywhere. I didn't want any pictures taken of me on my honeymoon and all the antiseptics in the world didn't clear it up for weeks. I usually have very clear skin.
It looked great on my wedding day but the end result was not worth it. I was miserable on my honeymoon. I also felt it was a little cakey and heavy.

I'm a MK consultant here in Texas because I loved my MK lady so much back home and I would suggest you start trying MK early. Because its clearing of your skin and changing products may cause some break outs (just like a facial or when you change any products) I love MK makeup I have used it in NY, Colorado, Florida and now South Texas where I live and have had no problem! I'm actually ending my MK career because my husband's career moves me too much and I have tons of inventory in stock that I will be selling back to the company so if anyone needs anything at 40% fm me and If I have it I will send it to you!
For me MK was great since my consultant in NY came to my house that morning and did me, my girls and my mom and since she was a friend she was at cocktail hour to do any touch ups!

I used MK for my wedding... I ended up signing on to be a consultant!
Definately go for a trial weeks or a month before your wedding to see pros and cons of ANY makeup on your skin!
