Anyone having this for the cocktail hour? How much additional was it? We got a price of $5.95 per person which seems like a lot for just potatoes.... Thanks!

It's included in my CH, but FH is super excited about it. I think its a fun idea, but I would not pay extra for it.

We are having it, the RH threw it into our CH for us. We have a choice of 5 different kinds of mashed potatotes ( Sweet potatoe, Red bliss, Bacon and onion, Au gratin, and Roasted garlic). And we have alot of toppings (bacon bits, chives, black olives, scallions, raisins, brown sugar, walnuts, cinnamon, red & white onions, parmiggiano cheese, wisconsin cheddar, brown gravy, and sour cream and butter). If Rh didnt throw it in, it would have been an extra $3 pp.

We are having one and I can't wait for it!!! If I could eat mashed potatoes every single day of my life and not look like a hippo I would do it! LOL.
I think that's a bit much to charge for it though. I want to say to add it to our package was like $200-$250 but I won the upgrade at a showcase so we didn't have to pay for it.
EDIT: if it were broken down per person based on our min. of 130, than it's like around $2pp

It's included in my CH and it sounds awesome!! They serve the mashed potatoes in martini glasses, I can't wait :) mmm cheddar and bacon!

Bridgeview has it as an option for the cocktail hour too at no additional cost. But then we would have to give up another station for it, so idk if it's worth it. But it would be awesome!

I think we can add it on we like, $3 a person, or we can swap out a comparable station for it. So we're probably going to swap out the Asian Station and get the Mashed Potato Bar! I'm very excited. I've heard great things!

My Fiance is a nerd. He wanted the mashed bar so bad he said it to every salesman we met!! We ended up getting it for free along with a martini bar!!

we got our hall to throw it in for free, but if we had to pay for it it was going to run us $3 a person, thats about has much i think is reasonable for potatoes

I wanted this as part of our CH (it was one options) but FH said it was cheesy/tacky so we are not having it. That sounds like a lot of $$ to me though to add it on.

wait... i'm kinda confused of what a mashed potato bar is?.... is it just mashed potatoes in a glass? toppings? is their also roasted potatoes, scalloped.? i think im over thinking this? i've never ever heard of this but sounds pretty interesting.. please clarify?

Its exactly what it sounds like. Mashed potatoes w choices of toppings. They usually offer reg and sweet mashed.
