Mashed Potato Bar

Original post by CurlyBride

Anyone having this for the cocktail hour? How much additional was it? We got a price of $5.95 per person which seems like a lot for just potatoes....
Thanks!

wait... i'm kinda confused of what a mashed potato bar is?.... is it just mashed potatoes in a glass? toppings? is their also roasted potatoes, scalloped.? i think im over thinking this? i've never ever heard of this but sounds pretty interesting.. please clarify?

Watermill had a choice of 3 potatoes - regular yukon gold, a garlic parmesan, and a sweet potato. The server scoops it into martini glasses, and there's a bunch of topping you can put on - mushrooms, bacon, sour cream, cheese, broccoli. I tried the garlic mashed, they were so good, I got the sweet next. the sweet was so awesome FH had to try it, and he's so anti-carb it was a big deal that he was eating them.

I think my hall has a choice of 2 potatoes, garlic and sweet - I can't wait!

Ours offers the bar as a station option. It's red bliss potatos served in a martini glass with choice of toppings.
