Mason Jar Centerpieces

Some Help Please...

I really want Mason Jar Centerpieces surronded by small votive candles as my centerpieces (I am going for a country summers eve theme) but have no idea what so ever how much something like this would cost me. I am thinking of putting 3 mason jars on each tables with wildflowers, small daisies and hydrangeas not alot of flowers in each mason jar I do not want it to look to over flowed. Does anyone know how much something like this costs?

Thanks!!

I have some pictures in my album

It's a great idea and definitely goes great with a country theme! I know that you can buy mason jars in bulk on the Dollar Tree website. I think they call them 'canning jars'. That might be a start? Hope that helps.

Yay thanks that was very helpful! I am from Queens (no dollar trees here that I know of) but I always go to the dollar tree that is not to far away from the walmart in Farmingdale in fact I was there last weekend and I did not even think to check there for them!

Hi!

I'm doing mason jar centerpieces! you can see the mock up our florist did for us in my profile. I got teal vintage mason jars at the Brooklyn Flea market, and clear smaller mason jars at Michaels craft store. My flowers ended up being kind of expensive but i went with peonies and garden roses which are bot really expensive. It really all depends on the type of flowers you use. I'm working with Bella Flowers you should call her she understands this look!

I would also try Recycledbride.com. They have people selling their things as well as wholesale vendors. HTH

I would search for the jars and then buy a spool of twin. Take the three jars and tie them together with the twine. You can tie twine on the votives to so you get the theme. Also they make votives that are small mason jars.

My favors were apothecary jars with candy in them. They were super cheap if you want to go that route too. FM with any questions.

Masons Jars are very cheep... you can buy them in bulk for probably around a dollar each. I make similar CPs for my engagement party with wine bottles and the flowers cost me about 60.00 for about 10 tables. I got all my flowers at Trader Joes.
Their are pics in my album

good luck!

Re: Mason Jar Centerpieces

Are you doing centerpieces yourself? I was thinking of doing candle centerpieces, or like you maybe mason jar centerpieces, or mint julep cups, or maybe edible grape basket centerpieces otherwise traditional centerpieces if they didn't look so good. I hate the idea of having lots of flowers for one day and then them being thrown out the next. Seems such a waste. I'm not sure how I want to go with looks at my venue yet too because I like it as it is. Really confusing, I'm not good at that kind of thing. * end ramble *

Anyway, I've seen tons of mason jars at walmart. Just look up 'Ball Jars'. I think that's the brand. Not sure how big you'd like them, but I have seen them in store. The clear ones, in store that is.

Good luck!

Re: Mason Jar Centerpieces

I didn't read all the middle posts, so someone may have already said this (sorry) but you can get mason jars bulk from walmart- they have a selection of sizes. I have to buy every summer when our tomatoes grow and we make a year's worth of sauce.

It's like $5 for a dozen.
