Can anyone tell me the difference or a wedding ceremony and wedding mass?

The only difference is there is no communion during the ceremony...

A ceremony is about 20 minutes...add a mass and its like 40 minutes or more!

This. The time difference really depends on the church- how many people would be receiving communion, how long the homily is, etc.
Our priest also recommended doing only one reading instead of two to keep the time down, but we wanted both our godmothers to do a reading so we kept it with two.
