Mass vs. Ceremony

Besides being given the Eucharist..are there any other differences?

there is an extra blessing that i guess goes with receiving communion maybe or dont know the exact reason for it. I definitely know there is an extra one bc we originally picked 3 readers bc fh said there are 3 readers, only to find out after that there aren't and after looking at samples of programs the church gave me i realized this.

Umm, I don't think so.. we're having a cermony, bcause we wanted the Deacon to do it..we met and loved him! and he can't do masses.

It's shorter, but that's probably because of communion not being given.

it has to be that bc of the whole fact that FH told me we have to pick 3 readers and then after going over the ceremony with the church i realized we will only need 2 readers, but we just split one of the readings. I asked how come i was told 3 and they said bc with a mass there is a prayer that a reader does so yeah has to be it

ok so since you are not catholic..i will give you my opinion on the mass vs ceremony...

We were doing a full mass up until last week...i was alittle uneasy about doing a full mass since i am not catholic and most of my family isnt, so i felt like i would be uncomfortable standing at the alter, while everyone took communion and i couldnt/shouldnt, so when we met with the church we talked it over with him and he also said its up to us, but kinda suggested we just do a ceremony.... The ceremony is just as beautiful.

its funny bc i told fh i would do a mass, but he is the one who insisted on a ceremony lol. But now thinking about it maybe its better since my family isn't catholic and they dont have to sit there while everyone is receiving communion.

The only thing that confused me is the 3rd reader thing, i told fh he is the one said 3 readers but we dont have 3 readers with a ceremony so it screwed me up

You can also have someone read instead of sing the Responsorial Psalm
