matri'd/DOC question

can someone tell me the difference?

my hall provides a matri'd so I was thinking I wont need a DOC but, I heard that the matri'd from leondards doesnt really do anything.....(from reviews) do you think I should look into having a DOC? what are you girls doing/done?

another question if my matri'd on the day of doesnt do anything and I see her maybe once... do I still have to tip her 3-5 per guest?

ok a maitre d from anywhere doesnt do much, they basically bring you to and from your bridal suite, tell you when your different meals are being served, they keep the flow of th eday, hold the napkin during cake cutting, etc. My maitre d was wonderful!

A DOC is there for YOU. They came to you in the morning, keep you running on time and if for anyreason something goes wrong or needs to be changed they deal with it according to your preferences. I had a planner and she raced around and collected envelopes from us, made sure that I didnt take ALL my pictures with a boa around my waste, reapplied my lip gloss, etc. Basicaly the DOC makes sure that everything is the WAY you want the maitre d only deals with the hall and they work for the hall so your wants and needs are not first.

You dont absolutely need a DOC, it depends on you

WOW I did not know there were bad reviews about the Matri'd at Leanords. That is where we are having our wedding, thanks for the tip. I felt the same way you did, however I do agree a DOC is much more helpful. I hear that the time can fly by and its nice to have someone to keep you on track without stressing you out or rushing you.

AS for the tip????? hmmm??? If they dont really do anything I personally would imagine a tip would be up to our discression. I guess you decide based on your service. If she is no help at all and rude or something than I would NOT tip her, especially not the 3-5 per person!!
