Maui?

So, we are leaning heavily towards Maui for our honeymoon.

Any opinions, suggestions or thoughts?

This would be 10-12 days next June, 2010.

I love love love Maui!!! We were there in October of '07 for a week (second time there) and are spending 11 days there as part of our HM in November/December.

We prefer to stay in the Kaanapali area because we like to be near Lahaina. The Four Seasons, the Grand Wailea and the Fairmont are in Wailea. I've never stayed there but they look amazing and get great reviews.

In the Kaanapali area we love the Hyatt!! Maybe it's the penguins in the lobby, but FH and I just really like it there. I've also stayed at the Sheraton Black Rock which is on the best part of the beach in Kaanapali. FH and I just like the Hyatt a little bit more - but they run about the same price.

It's gorgeous there. FH and I went in 2007 (thats where we got engaged). Definitely go to Mama's fish house for dinner and have their macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi, it is OUT STANDING.

mmmmmmm..... Mama's Fish House! Yummy! I made reservations for Thanksgiving Dinner at three different places (we'll be there for our HM) and that's one of our options! Now I'm hungry!

Maui is amazing. I went two years ago and didnt want to leave. There is so much to do -- and every area is so beautiful. I recommend staying in Kaanapali. It's pretty central.

I recommend the Trilogy snorkel tours. FH and I took one to Lanaii and had an amazing time. well worth the time and money.

Someone else recommended Mama's. Definitely eat there. So yummy!! Hula Grill and Roys are also yummy,

The Old Lahaina Lua is supposed to be the best. I enjoyed it -- but wasnt in love with the food.
