Re: Maui Luau question

From what I read up on and experienced, The Old Lahaina Luau is the best. Everyone was really nice there. The food was EXCELLENT. IT was a great time. Make sure you book it ahead of time before you leave ( i think they say at least two weeks) beacuse they get sold out really fast and you will be closer if you get the floor seats rather than the table. Our seats were okay but they were kind of in the back. YOu can see from everywhere but I think if I went again I would have chosen the floor seats.

Re: Maui Luau question

I've read a lot about the Old Lahaina Luau.....and my cousin who's been there gave me advice when booking that the mat seating is nice b/c you're a little closer, but since you're there for a few hours, it's better/more comfortable to get the table seating instead. I think it was $85 or so per person, but it sounds like it's worth it.

I might venture over to the luau at the Hyatt too, I've read some good reviews.

I've heard the Old Lahaina luau is great. We are going on a Hawaiin Cruise for honeymoon, I'm not sure how to book this luau -- does anyone know??

Re: Maui Luau question

The cheapest place I found for princing was on
hawaiiactivities.com
they have the laua priced at $80.21 pp

It only saves you $19 or so but Im the bargain shopper so every penny counts to me! Plus if i add up what I saved in the end...i wont feel guilty about buying myself something 'nice' before i come home!!

Old Lahaina Luau is said to be the best - but be prepared for NO fire dance! They do not include that in the show because it's not technically a hawaiian thing.

For us, we much prefer to see a show with the fire dancing - I'd recommend the Feast at Lele - a few more dollars, but you can have a private table with just your DH and it's a five course meal - not buffet - that is served directly to you, like any restaurant.

Good luck!

thanks Yesenia!!! I have to jot that one down......do you think we should book in advance? I figured we'd book most things once we get there, but I wouldn't want to be disappointed if it gets booked up in advance.

You're welcome! DEFINITELY call them NOW - they seat you based on who books first and they sell out because th e restaurant only holds about 150 people total. Go online to feastatlele.com and get their number to call them asap.

Good luck!

The Old Lahaina Luau is fantastic! But I would definitely go with the table seating rather than the mat seating. The show is pretty long and sitting on the floor is not my idea of comfort! The food was great and so were the drinks. And you can't beat the scenery!

Old Lahina Luau

Book in advanced for good seating. They book fast.

On recommendations from many people I went to Old Lahina Luau - the grounds were beautiful, the show was good, the food was bad. DH and I could not eat it, very salty for our tastes.

Re: Maui Luau question

We'll be in Maui soon!!!! and we booked our luau actually with the Sheraton at the black rock. We were going to do the Old Lahaina Luau BUT the hotel we are staying at has a deal for 2 for 1 for only certain luaus (hyatt and sheraton and a few others). We figured it was worth it cause then we could get preferred seating. We'd rather save the money, see a fire dance, and have money to do other activities on the island.
