Maui vs. Anquilla for HM

Is anyone going to Anquilla for their honeymoon? We're trying to decide between the two. He's been to Maui so we know we would really like it, but it seems so...I don't know. Too commerical almost.

Anguilla looks beautiful and isolated. We want a secluded beach with white sands, warm water. We're thinking we'd book Cap Juluca or Cuisinart Resort.

Any thoughts?

we are looking into it... because it is closer than Tahiti

You're like my twin! We're going to Anguilla for our HM and I'm so thrilled!! We're staying at Cap Juluca for 10 nights. We used John from MAS Travel and he got us the best rate + a junior suite. He's also really knowledgable about the area. I can FM you the prices if you like.

Also, the good thing is that if you get bored of sitting on the beach (FH gets a little restless sometimes), there's shopping and gambling on St. Martin/St. Maarten which is only a ferry ride away. Hope this helps!!

PS: If you book Anguilla, just get used to a lot of people giving you a confused look when you tell them and asking, 'Angola?' My response: 'No, AnGUILa. It's where Brad and Jennifer broke up.'

I am going to Anguilla nad staying at Cap Juluca. I had th esame dilema, Hawaii or Anguilla. We chose Anguilla becuase we have nothing but great htings about it. Hawaii was:
-too far
-too commercialized
-i felt we had to do too many things, going from island to island
-too much planning between islands and I dont want to plan after the wedding
anyway with Anguilla you can veg adn do nothing or go to St.Martin and/or St.Barts you have the best of both worlds beware though food I heard is pricey. GOod luck if yo need info let me know.

I am also partial to Anguilla because that's where I went on my HM. It's sooo beautiful and very private and secluded, which is what I wanted for my HM.

We stayed at Cap Juluca for 7 nights and would highly recommend it! We had a room riight on the beach and we were treated like royalty. Everyone is very friendly and the beaches are some of the most beautiful in the world.

If me and my FH do not decide on the FOur Seasons in Maui, are next choice in Anguilla also! It really looks beautiful. (Cap Juluca). If possible, can any of you girls that went FM me or post details about how you got there (Flew to where) and what you paid for 10 nights. Is it a safe island? Did you get bored there? How was the food and service, especially the rooms. Are they clean and updated? or is there room for improvement?
