Hello there. I'm a 2006 bride, but am a BM in a 2008 bride's wedding. I need a place for hair and makeup. Does anyone know about Maximus salon? I think it's in the Fortunoff Mall.

There is one in The Source and one in Merrick. I heard they are good.

They are in the Source Mall (where Fortunoff's is located). Just a little pricey, but they're good!

Acutally just had my hair & makeup done their when I was BM on April 18th. The prices were reasonable in my opinion. I have long hair and got it curled and half-up plus makeup- it cost about $130. Everyone who worked there was really nice. I recommend Tracy for makeup!

I went to the Westbury location for my wedding. Debbie did my make-up and Glendy did my hair.
I had no complaints with them whatsoever.

I've been going to Maximus at the Source Mall for my regular haircuts and styling for the past 5 years. I had gotten my hair and make-up done there when I was a BM for my brother's wedding, and it came out fantastic. Also got my hair done there for my engagement party, and plan to get my hair & make-up done there for my own wedding.
I have curly hair, and I go to Helen...she's awesome!

I had received a gift certificate for the Maximus Salon in The Source Mall. I used it to get my hair and makeup done for a cd release party for my FH. I don't normally wear foundation or any makeup on my face b/c it makes my face break out so I called them about a week before to ask them why kind of makeup they use. They told me everything was hypoallergenic and specifically for sensative skin. Well, when I asked again before the woman did my makeup if it was okay and she said 'well it says it is, but we don't really know' So I was like 'that's just great' I wound up breaking out all over my face.
Overall it's a nice place and the people were very friendly and very helpful.

I heard they are very good, but expensive. I considered them for my wedding day at one point but I decided not to after I heard their prices.

Love them!!! Helen cuts my hair and Kim has colored it. I am a little all over the place with color right now but I have to say Helen is awesome!
