Has anyone had their hair and or make up done at Maximus? I am having a hard time trying to find someone to do myhair and make up for my wedding and i am starting to freak out. If anyone could include pictures I would appreciate it.
Thank you.

I have gotten my hair and make-up done there in the past. They do a great job! It all depends on who you get. I used to get a facial done by this lady (loved her) and she left Maximus. I tried someone new yesterday and I didn't like her as much as they lady I used to go to. Good luck. P.S. It's pricey but I think overall worth the money!

I had a bad experience there once and didn't go back. A few of my FSILs went there for one of their weddings and was not pleased either. This was a few years ago though. My experience happened last year, but wasn't related to a hair or makeup service.
Are you a regular client there or have you had services there before?

I personally had a bad experience there as well. It wasn't hair or make-up though. My cousin and I went there for mani/pedi for a special occasion. They came out horrible! My $5 manicure place does a better job. When I complained, the manager refused to do anything. It was only when I threatened to call my credit card company that she gave me a refund. I personally wouldn't go back.

My regular stylist is there and she also did my hair for my Wedding. - But I have VERY curly long hair so I'm picky about stylists. - My sister also has her hair cut there and had her put up by her usual stylist for my Wedding as well - (She has shoulder length, straight hair) FM me if you'd like their names or to see a pic..... I think they did a fabulous job - We both got a million compliments (But I'm sure my guests were biased.......) But honestly, if I didn't absolutely love my hair, I wouldn't recommend her. - I wouldn't recommend any of their makeup artists. I don't know how they are trained, but they use only Maximus products (which my sister was horribly allergic to - and SHE is a makeup artist herself and has used everything and anything you can think of) Unless you're going for the drag queen, Tammy Faye look - stay far far away from the makeup people !!

I am a regular at Maximus in Merrick as is my mom and my aunt. I highly recommend them. Never had a bad haircut. I've paid hundreds of dollars at a top notch salon in NYC only to walk out crying. Maximus, sure its expensive, but its not NYC expensive, and they LISTEN and do what you want. I'm going to have hair extension put in by them shortly and they have been nothing but professional in dealing with the situation (they ran out of my hair color'). They call me weekly to keep me updated and when I go there for a consult they always make you feel like a million bucks. Oh and the water journey massage is to die for.

Not sure where you are looking, but Bocu in Commack does a nice job.

I had my hair/makeup done there once a little over a year ago and I absolutely hated the makeup. Hair was alright, but it all fell out before the end of the party, which hasn't happened to me anywhere else.

I haven't had an updo or anything, but I used to get cuts/color/and a bodywave there, by this girl Sucelli (pronounce Sue-selly). She was awsome, and she always looks really good. I would trust her w/ my hair on my wedding. Plus, they've been on the Maury show like a million times!! I'm not sure if she still works there though, I haven't been there in forever! Sorry!

I agree 100%!!! Thanks to Marisa's advise & tips I am now and was for my wedding a Maximus hair user. My hair came out PERFECT!!! Make-up....YIKES! I had a complimentary trial with them and wiped half of it off when I got in the car!
