i don't think that's too early...my day is closer to the end of the month, 20 days after you, and you may have a different RSVP date, one that's much earlier...plus i'm taking mine to the caligrapher in late JAN, so I'll pick them up in late feb and send them out soon after.

Usually it's a max of 10 weeks unless you have a ton of people travelling from abroad. I'd send them out around President's day if I were getting married on May 1st.
