it depends on you honestly... august is the peak of the summer, so if you like the sun and heat, then do it then... may is a little cooler, but not by much.

it seems like your profile says that you alrdy picked the august date, why do you want to change it now?

Go for May! I wish I would have moved my wedding up.

I'M THINKING OF CHANGING THE DATE BECAUSE MOST FLORISTS ARE SAYING MAY IS BETTER FOR FLOWERS AND PICTURES, AND I WANT GOOD PICTURES...

well we know I'm biased to May LOL.

But actually I would have liked an August wedding too (originally I wanted a summer wedding but the flights for FH's OOT guests during that time are outrageous so we moved it up to May).

But May has great weather - not too hot, not too cold.

MAY!!!

I would've done may but alot of my friends will be graduating 2011 from grad school so I didn't want to deal with them have to study for finals or missing it for graduation etc.

May!!!! Do you want it to be outside though? What kind of flowers do you want? I did my wedding in the Spring so I could have light pink peonies, totally love them!!!! May is perfect for a garden wedding.

I say May... just because as everyone said Aug. is going to be soooo damn hot... the only reason i chose the end of june is b.c teachers arent working (sunday night wedding) and also becuase of religious reasons i couldnt get married in may... i would have loved it...

I vote for May:

weather will be perfect (not too humid)

August is too hot and you run the risk that most people may be away on vacation (I know in my field of work, half my company is travelling to Europe that month).

for me August would be too hot, plus 5/8 is the opposite of bbirthday 8/5, so I would go with that :) must be good luck.

Plus May is lovely for flowers.

i would do may. you have a whole range of flowers available in May for spring. plus its not as hot or humid.
i could personally never get married in the high summer weather! i sweat like a pig which is nasty and was one of the only requirements i had for my FH

May! You will have more options with flowers...

I would say may also... If your focus is on the flowers I think May is a better choice
