May be personal, but ...

Original post by DandS

who did it on their wedding night?

We did. After our wedding we went back to our house with our close family and friends and partied some more, but after everyone left we kept the party going ourselves. It was about 3am, but that did not matter to us.

Re: May be personal, but ...

We totally DID NOT!
It took DH over an hour to get my dress off because it was a corset; then It took me 20 mins to get the tiara and veil off without rupping every hair out of my head. So now at this point. Dh plopped in bed. Next thing I know, he was snoring unbelibavble! Im like ur kidding right!
I mean, were exhausted, it was a Friday night, and we had the full venise hour, so it didn't end til 1 am, then everyone was saying goodbye, then I stood around just sitting at the table talking to all the wonderful people at Vill [LOL] and my parents and MOH, and then we had to wait 15 mins for our limo, it was about 20-25 minuet ride from Villa to the Inn at FoxHollow, and then by the time we got our bags, checked in, it was almost 3 am! Maybe even 3:30.
But we made up for it on the Hm, when the first day there, we were so crampy and figiity from an almost 5 hour plane ride and we had to wait 2 hours for our rm, we got to the room and did it for the first time as husband and wife in our private pool! We had butlers, so all of a sudden we heard 'OOOOOOOOOOPS!' and the sliding glass door to our outside pool & balcony slams...............................My DH thought it was the butler we hadnt yet met, and yelled out 'r u queen' [the name of the butler] it turns out it was the maid and she didn'r get that much of a peak at me, but she saw DH banging me in the pool! LOL! Every day till the end of the trip, all the maids would giggle and laugh and wisper in a diffeent launguge everytime we entered and left our room!

And yes, it's a little difficult in the pool when the water is freezing and people can hear you fromt he pool/villa next to us

AT LEAST im glad I wasnt the only 1 who didnt have sex onthe wedding night! LOL! I used to be mortified of it. But we did have the whole HM to make up for it [and we did!] and the rest of our lives!

Well... heres my story. We forgot our housekeys, wallet. & cellphone at my reception hall. (It was in a small box we accidentally left on the dais) We ddidn't realize this until ater the limo dropped my inlaws home and then headed to our apartment. We were locked out with no keys, no phone & NO MONEY!!! Well.. It was 2:00am at this time, so we were hoping that by some miracle someone at Leonards would still be there because we were ready to drive all the way back to LI to get our stuff. We then asked the limo driver to drive us back to my inlaws house. So after a frantic phonecall, I was able to get in touch with someone who said that they will look for the box I had my stuff in, and give us a call back. Well... an hour passed (now its 3:00am) and still NO CALL.!!! The dude at leonards totally forgot about us and left us waiting by our phone.

So heres the situation:

Here we are.. Me in my wedding dress.. Anthony in his tux. We were tired, cranky.. my makeup was all over my face and the plastic boning from my bra was sticking in my ribs. I had wedding rice still sticking to my skin, my hair was a total mess and I just WANTED TO get that damn dress off GO TO SLEEP!!!

Anyway.. we totally gave up. It was now 3:30am. There was no way on gods green earth we were sleeping at our inlaws house on our wedding night. Not to mention we had NO clothes no shampoo.. no NOTHING!! We started making phone calls to local hotels (not pay by the dollar motels lmao!!!) Every decent hotel in Staten Island was booked. LUCKILY we were able to get a room at the Sheraton right over the bridge in New Jersey. (Its about a 10 minute ride from our house). So.. Here we were walking into a Hotel with my dress on, looking & feeling the way wedid. LUCKILY, we werent leaving for our honeymoon until Monday, so THANK GOD we had that day inbetween. Imagine if we had an early flight the day after our wedding???

We got to the hotel around 4am.. NO, we DIDN'T do anything but sleep on our wedding night. We weren't in the mood for anything else.

We called Leonards the next day- We were beyond upset. We ended up driving back to get our stuff. Thanks for the call back Leonards. Customer Service at its best!

omg!!!
what a story!!!!!!!
something EXTREMELY similiar happened to my SIL [way back before i knew by dh!] lol....

We didn't. I went to bed a couple of hours before DH, he stayed up and drank with some of our guests for awhile. He got to sleep in a little later the morning of our wedding so he was good to go.

I had to have his cousin undo all of the loops around my buttons so I could go to bed, she told him that he owed her big!!!

We didn't!!! We went out with our friends to some bars afterwards, so I think sleep and passing out was more on our mind! There was plenty of time for that on the honeymoon!

Re: May be personal, but ...

Nope,

THANKS to the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS in STONYBROOK, they gave away our wedding night suite after I told them I was checking in the early because I was going to be coming back late from the reception. AND THOSE SOB didn't have anymore rooms available. SO I snuck back into my old bedroom at my dads at 2:30 am and DH and I went to bed.

The JERKS made it up to us by giving us a free room to stay in the night before we left to go on our HM and free car service to the boat departure in the city AFTER my mom and alot of family members complained on what they did. They weren't going to do anything at all for us. I was ready to climb over the counter in my gown and hit someone, DH said to the regional manger,' Who can I strangle right now its our EFFING wedding night' .

Re: May be personal, but ...

We did. I basically gave up on the idea that we would, since by the time we got back to our room it was near 4am. My always thinking BMs smartly undid the buttons for me at the hotel bar since there was a zipper beneath the buttons (classy, I know). I still had to contend with hair, make up and false lashes, so by the time I emerged from the bathroom, DH was passed out on the bed. To my surprise, he did wake up when I got into bed and we both mustered up the energy to consummate the marriage. Since we were somewhat abstinent before the wedding, it was really great.
