May Brides !

Why exactly did u choose to tie the knot in may ?
For me, our anniversary is may 30th, n FH birthday is may 5th, i had to have a may wedding.

If we didn't teach, we probably would've went with MAY! It's a good month- my parents are the 23rd and are together 27 years- FH's parents are the 28th and they've been together for 31 years- Congratulations to the May brides

We wanted a holiday weekend to make it a long weekend and May was the first major holiday with nice weather in 09

We wanted a holiday weekend as well since FH's Family is from all over the Country. We picked this particular weekend because its my parents 30th and we thought it would be fun!

We got engaged the end of April, my birthday is May 2nd (woo hoo 25 this friday!) and our anniversary is May 31st. plus I love spring.

So we are getting married on our 9 year anniversary.

We wanted a spring wedding. It worked out that our 8 year anniversary falls on a Saturday in May. And so, we are keeping our 5/16 anniversary going forever and ever

I'm a Memorial Day weekend bride. I wanted nice weather and we wanted a holiday weekend because we are getting married on a Sunday night.

We actually wanted April (before the prices went up) but it was all booked. The RH gave us the same price for the first Sat in May so we took it. It is also the day before my Bday so FH will have no excuse to forget!!! And yeah I know I will probably only get one present but its worth it so he will never forget the anniversary.

We picked May because his brother is getting married in Nov 2008 and we didn't want to wait to long. We figured Memorial Day weekend, we can spend time with family and friends and have great weather

We love spring!!! May isn't too hot or too cold, we though it would be perfect weather for an outdoor ceremony!

I love the May bride thread! I'm a May bride for a few reasons, none of which were really by choice - FH's BIL was getting married in August, which is the month I really wanted. We couldn't make the families go to two weddings in the same month. Also, I'm starting an accelerated BSN program September 2009 and going straight through for a year, so we had to get married before then or wait until 2010. After all that, ours was the only Saturday that our RH had available in May or June. I've grown to love our date!

We originally wanted to get married in Nov of 08 but there were no open Saturdays at our hall in Nov. or early December so we decided to go for beautiful Spring weather (we wanted to keep the engagement under 2 years). My sister asked that we stay away from April since she got married in April of 2007 - so May it is!

I love spring weather because it's not too hot and not too cold. FH is also graduating college in May so we wanted to wait until he is finished.

i knew i wanted spring. i wanted the 17th because june 17th is our dating anniversary but saturdays are more expensive. so my coworker suggested memorial day weekend so i can have it on a sunday and noone would have to worry about work the next day. i didnt get the 17th but ive grown to love my date
