May brides - what are you currently planning?

Hey, what's everyone working on now that we're 8 months away? I think I'm in sort of a lull (which is probably a good thing). I have to get my BM's to order their dresses (finally picked them!), get my hair trial done, apply for a passport, get my engagement photos done, begin to look for wedding bands and begin to figure out my invitation wording. Okay, I guess I'm not really in much of a lull after all!

I am ordering invites next week and the remainder of my girls will be ordering their dresses as well. I have been picking up things here and there such as votive candles, OOT bags (onsale at Ac moore this week!), flower petals. I just ordered my bridesmaid jewelry and am now on the hunt for my shoes! My dress should be in any day now, which means I will get my veil made once I have a swatch! SO much to do with so little time!!!

Oh thank goodness I am not the only one with a tone of things to do. We have to get out E photos done, make up , hair, HM, and video OH And florist. FM says we have plenty of time to book out HM NO WE DON'T unless you want to pay 2xs as much. The whole HM thing is getting grrrrrrrrrr no words to explain. Well just ordered our stds so I can ck that off the list and am in the process of LOOKING for BM dresses. They just don't understand that the months fly by and then you are like oh my god I have not gotten any thing done.

FM says we have plenty of time to book out HM NO WE DON'T unless you want to pay 2xs as much. The whole HM thing is getting grrrrrrrrrr no words to explain. Deep breaths! One thing at a time. Start looking at dresses soon b/c most designers take a few months to come in. Then I would do flowers once you know your color scheme.

I have EVERYTHING besides my ceremony, reception, STD and honeymoon destination left to do. I am looking at Photographers next week and dresses the week after. Once I have the Photographer it is on to the DJ and after the dresses it's on to the florist....I think I have it all planned out. This is what happens when you book a hall 8 months in advance!

can you tell I'm getting a little stressed ok dresses then florist ok Im working on the dresses I am jsut so afraid that it will all come down on me at once ua know.

Keep breathing! Just make a to do list of all the things that you need to do. Then break it down by the remainder of the months. This way it will not seem so overwhelming! This is what I do! Just try to do one thing per weekend and you will be fine. This weekend I am finalizing the wording for my invites. Next weekend I will be laying out my program info, etc. Let me know if you need help with anything! Do not stress out! It will all fall into place!!

I will order invites soon (we have already picked out what we like, we just need to physically order them), but lately I have been going through a ton of makeup and hair trials...can't seem to find anyone I like

Also meeting with ceremony and cocktail hour musicians - all the other vendors are booked.

We thought the HM would be the easiest part of planning but we were sooooo wrong!


I just say you pick and book it-- let it be a suprise to me-- then that is one less thing i have to wory about. :) but he still has not done anything

need to book limos and place to stay on the night off in Oct. these are my last two main duties.

I have pre-cana this Saturday, one more BM to order her dress and then the full order can go in, have limo appts next weekend, need to order and send artwork for STDs this weekend. I still have to do flowers. I am scheduling hair and make up trials. so much to do and the time seems to just slip away...

I wish I had my e-pics that way I can do my std's.. I'm working on invites, narrowing choices down for honeymoon. Have to schedule precana.. So much too do so little time..

I just did limos this week. Still working on the florist. Also, currently working on my STD's and the honeymoon.

WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
