May have to cancel...

I am so sad today. I was going over the wedding budget and it seems we may have to cancel our honeymoon. My FH refuses to consider this, but our wedding is costing more than planned. I am trying to figure out a way to not cancel, but I have to pay everything off too! Anyone else stressing over wedding finances? I hope to work something out. Thanks for letting me vent!

Dont cancel the HM. Cut costs, downgrade cetnerpieces. Did you add to the menu from caterer, cut guest list.

There is a way, you need to reasses whats important.

Christy, even if you postpone your honeymoon, that's ok, remember to 'stick' to your dreams & it may happen!

Christy, I hope you dont have to cancel, but like you said it wont be the end of the world, and hopefully you'll get enough $$$$ presents that you can go immediately after

In the meantime, do what wacky said, consider cutting down on some other things, like flowers, types of limos, and all the extras. Just dont cut down on Photography and Video

Yes hopefully you will make some money at the wedding that perhaps you can go on a honeymoon in the summer...I sure hope that works out for you!

Christy, I have known of a few people that took their HM a year later and they said it was so worth the wait. They went away for the weekend after their wedding. They got to opportunity to save the money they wanted so they could take the HM they would enjoy stress free. Fret not it will all work out.

I wish you luck and maybe you can go somewhere else but TRY to get away!

We are goin to go to VEGAS for a few days since we are having a December wedding and then go to Sicily in the spring!!!

Christy maybe you can do something smaller and on your 1 yr anniversary go to the place you originally planned?

We had to postpone our honeymoon at the last minute. We were disappointed but it wasnt the end of the world. We rescheduled it for our 1st anniversary. We had an even better trip than we originally planned. We will remember it forever.
