All of the little things that are incorporated into the recption (candle placecards, guestbooks, favors etc.) -who normally sets them up? Do you give the reception site explicit directions, or are you responsible for designating someone to do it for you?

My hall requires that we:
1. Drop all of those things off at least 2 days before.
2. Clearly mark each box with our names, date, time, room name, and specific instructions
So I'm assuming that they'll handle it. I will, however, go and take a peek beforehand to make sure everything is good.

I think the reception place does it. I would give them explicit instructions though on how you want things. Call and ask them to make sure.

I am giving a 'wish list' of instructions to my hall so that we understand each other
