We'l have some more 2010 brides!! It seems there's no one on this board.
At JT Bridal showcase last night every time a vendor asked when the wedding was and I said 2010 some of them looked at me like I was crazy. Two of them even brushed me off because the wedding was so far away..I now know NOT to use those two vendors! I want to use vendors that make me feel important from DAY ONE, even if the wedding is 2 years away..

that *****... 2010 isn't that far away! some dates are even less than 2 years away.
we're having just over a 15 month engagement and time has FLOWN! We booked our major vendors right away because we were afraid they would book up!
You get first dibs on whatever date/vendors you want and you can enjoy your engagement without feeling rushed. Plus, you can lock in 08 prices. I don't think you're nuts at all.

Omg there are soooo many people who have something to say...but I cant believe that vendors would just brush you off. I thought the point of going to those shows was to book customers. I just tell people that I am going to be able to get everything I want at a good price because we are booking so far in advance

They did the same thing to me last year when my wedding was like 2 years and change to go.... needless to say i left that showcase in under a half hour cuz how how we were treated

that happened to me back in august when the wedding was 2 years away. i made a list of about 3 or 4 places I DEF would not visit when it came time to book b/c of that.

fh and i looked at a hall this weekend and the guy that showed us around basically could not wait to get us out of there and i totally knew it was because of the 2010 date. He barely explained anything to us, wouldnt give me pricing on some extras, he said ' when you guys are more serious, then we could go over pricing for extras', FYI- we are serious thats why we are here! he was so rude i couldnt wait to get out of there. i def wont be booking with them

completely obnoxious of that guy....I would never book there after being treated like that.
