So I feel like I've been searching for a way online to really specify what FH and I want in a RH, and I haven't found a way to do that which seems to work. Then I realized, why don't I just ask?
We've visited a few places, and loved some, but I don't want to 'miss' something. Here's what we're looking for, maybe someone has some suggestions?
-We're inviting about 325 people. -We're looking for a Saturday night, we're kind of flexible on the month. We'd love October, November,or December, but we're willing to be flexible to the very end of Feb or anytime in March if that's what the price fits. -We want a 'homey' feeling. For anyone who has been to Majestic Gardens- walking in and having a fireplace that you can decorate, and comfy chairs throughout was really nice. -We like a beautiful outdoors area. Preferably not on a main road, or set back from the main road. I'm thinking Country House in the heart of Suffolk. I know there are places like this, but our number of guests limits us (even IF we cut it) -Would like to spend $100 or less pp (including tax & gratuity)
But we're kinda flexible on some of these elements. If we found a place that was loved and could hold said 270/75 we could knock off some guests. And the price, we can't go MUCH over that amount but if it's a couple of bucks then it's ok. We could finagle with the guest list a bit if necessary.
We HAVE to have a Saturday night though. For logical reasons (I'm starting my PhD in 1.5 years and I don't want to plan to 'miss school' because who knows what problems that will cause) + we have our heart set on a Saturday night lol.
TIA! :)

not sure what it can hold, but we visited timber point country club, and they were quoting us around $65/head for a saturday night in december.
also, at east wind, you could get less than $100/head if you were guaranteeing a high number of people.

Well Giorgios fits a lot of your criteria. Especially if you are flexible with your month. We got such a huge discount for getting married in January 40 dollars cheaper per person vs getting married in November. Its definitely set far back off the road, food is wonderful, and so is the service.

totally agree with WM..I also wanted a homey feel as opposed to marble and mirrors which cover many rh's. We got married in Feb and after taxes and grats...it came to about $92 pp

NRC can hold up to 300 people. I don't know what their winter pricing is like though.

i think westbury mnaor is the right fit! we looked at it, but chose crest hollow.
i know crest hollow can hold that many ppl, and maybe the downstairs room, would be the best option for homey.

I agree - Westbury Manor will work for you at that price in the winter. In non-winter non peak season, the only place that I think quoted under $100 on a Saturday Night was the Coral House

Definately check out Milleridge Cottage...They can fit alot in the main room, its one wedding at a time and the grounds are very pretty. There is also a small 'village' with some really cute picture spots!!

Definitely check out The Woodlands......it is not off a main road, there is a long beautiful private road that leads you up to the mansion. They have fireplaces, beautiful grounds and that homey feeling.
ETA: Sorry I just read your price limit, not sure if you can get it for a Sat night there but it's def worth looking into.

Giorgoi's is way off the main road and has a great homey feel. Giorgio's is advertising Retro Pricing and the prices are great and they can fit 350.

So many others have said it already, but it sounds like your describing Westbury Manor.

I agree with the other Woodlands brides that it seems to fit all of your criteria except maybe price. It's definitely worth looking into though because of all the places I looked at it had the most 'homey' feeling and if you are willing to do a winter month they may be able to work with you on price.

Re: Maybe someone can help.
the thatched cottage seems like everything you're describing, i'm pretty sure they can hold that many people as well, although you'd have to double check. but it's beautiful outside, homey when you walk in, suffolk.. not on a main road and on the water.
