Originally we were going to take pictures before the ceremony at Gerry Park, which is right down the road from our RH...but we've been having trouble obtaining a permit from them...we sent them a check but they told us they never received it...FH is going to check to see if it has been deposited yet and if it has get in touch with them again...if it hasn't he's going to put a stop payment on it.
Now my question to you ladies is this...does anyone know of another park in the Roslyn area that we can go to and take pictures just in case Gerry Park doesn't pan out?
I'll be coming from Queens and he'll be coming from Levittown on the big day..

What about the Roslyn duck pond, or the Nassau County museum of art is Roslyn? Also Planting Fields Arboretum does pictures, but I know the sites there are limited.

I'm taking pics at Old Westbruy Gardens. I have also seen really beuatiful pics taken at CW Posts' Campus.

OWG is a little expensive for me...as much as i would LOVE to take pictures there...my parents would never go for it..
and i was thinking about CW Post also...i went to school there for a couple of semesters...i always thought the grounds were beautiful

awww thanks..yeah my FH got in touch with them a couple of days ago and they said they hadn't received anything for that date...i went ..then ..but i just looked at the planting fields site and its gorgeous! so maybe it worked out for the best?

I LOVE planting fields.
Just be sure to know their rules. I remember a few years ago there was a bride who get *yelled* at b/c she walked where she was not supposed to in heels....I think they give a list to the photographer to follow as well.
