Maze Restaurant in NYC (Gordon Ramsay's restaurant)

Has anyone ever been to Gordon Ramsay's Maze Restaurant in the city?

They have a 'pre-theater' menu which includes a 3 course meal for $35 per person and, since FH and I are OBSESSED with Chef Ramsay, i think this would be a perfect place to take him out for his bday.

but has anyone actually be there? is it worth it?

I don't think a $30 dinner is so much for his bday.......its not like you are talking $75 a person. It's a 3 course meal........I don't think you will find THAT much cheaper. Its his bday, you can splurge a bit

I took FH there for his birthday last summer. We are also obsessed with ramsey's shows.

It was the fanciest, strangest dining experience ever with the teeniest portions. There was like 5 people waiting on us so the service was super, maybe even too attentive.

The lobster bisque was poured from a teeny, tiny, pitcher unto a teeny, tiny speck of lobster in a teeny, tiny bowl.

FH's steak was delicious though but super expensive. Our bill was over $200.

Don't regret it though, we pretended we were ballers. Wouldn't go again though, either.

oh i'm not worried at all about the money aspect ... i just don't want to pay if it's not going to be worth it (like if the portions are ridiciulous, or if it's just as good as any other restaurant)

yeah, that's the 'normal' menu, i think .... this new one is much smaller (and more affordable). I'll prob do it ... just gotta figure out when
