I just wanted to let everyone know that I went to my friend's wedding tonight at the Meadow Club and they were robbed. The bride and her bridal party were told to leave their personal belongings in the bridal suite where they would be secure. This they were told by several staff members. However, when a bridesmaid went to the bridal suite to get something she walked in to everyone's pocket books dumped out on the floor. All of their cash was stolen including the money that the bride and groom had set aside for the D.J. and for tips. An estimated amount of $4000 was stolen from the room. When it was brought to the owners attention he said that it was not anyone from his staff and he really could not do anything. He showed no sympathy for the bride and her friends. Regardless of whether it was his workers or not, the bridal suite was supposed to be locked or watched. Especially since there was another wedding going on. I mean who does business like this? Her wedding day is now ruined. The last hour of the wedding no one danced and the police were there so they could file a report. Just wanted to let you all know.

THats is horrible...it really makes you think about what you do with your belongings
I know that CB has safe in the Bridal suite that youcan change the combo to-but I still would never leave anything of value...sorry so about your friend

that is awful. how can people be like this?
how is one suppossed to relax on their wedding day when they know that they have to leave cards etc. with someone else or worse worry about having it stolen.

I feel soooooo terrible for your friend. I can't imagine how her and her new husband must feel. The MC should be held responsible, this could happen any where, but if the couple was insured that the room would be locked and secure then they did not provide the promised service. Did the MC have video survaliance??

I'm so sorry that happened to your friend. But i had my wedding there and nothing happened to our stuff at all everything was sucure and everything. Maybe it was one of there guests that did it and they don't know.

Wow! That's so sad! We actually had a different experience...
The end of our wedding was marked by realizing that my mother never took the check for the photographer out of the 'safe place' And we actually LEFT our bag of cards at the MC (I mentioned something to my mom, and she said, oh Laura (MOH) has it - Yeah, she had another bag).
The next day, the meadow club called and told us that they found it and had it. Nothing was missing or opened.
