My sister is getting married at the Meadow Club in Port Jeff this June. I live in western Nassau and have no experience with this place, in fact have never heard of it.
Anyone know anything about the place and its reputation?

meadow club: what`s the word on this place?
I went to an engagment party there about 4 years ago. It was nice, but not stunning. The grounds they have are beautiful!! Its right on Route 112 which is a main road, but they do offer valet parking which is good. I apologize but I dont remember the food. A co-worker got married there this past June and she was very happy with it. Hope this helps.

I know 2 people who got married there a few years ago. I know that it just got new owners. Both of my friends loved their weddings, the food was very good. They keep the place very nice. There are 2 rooms. You can have an outdoor cocktail hour, if the weather permits. It is very reasonably priced and included a lot. It has a beautiful staircase, with a large bridal suite at the top, and a piano in the lobby. It is also very easy to get too since it is on a main road.

My sister got married there and it was wonderful. Great prices (check it out when I got engaged but chose not to do the same place - $45-$65 a head and it includes more than most other places that run $75-$110 a head). Great food, good size rooms (she had 220) and the outside cocktail hour. Grounds and lobby were great for taking pictures. Only tough part is the distance. We had guest go from Farmingdale (where the church was) to Meadow Club. Worth a ride out and well worth the money.

I just recently checked out the Meadow Club. I thought it was very nice. It was January when I looked, and the grounds were even nice then!
It consists of three floors. The lobby/main entrance has a piano and a winding staircase - great for pictures. The bathrooms are located downstairs, however there is a handicapped bathroom on the lobby floor. They can accomodate two weddings at once, however, they told me that they stagger the start times so that guests are not running into each other.
There is a very large bridal suite upstairs. Cocktail hours occur on a deck with flaps. The flaps can be opened, weather permitting.
One of the only reasons we did not choose the Meadow Club was because we liked the larger reception room but they neeeded a guarantee of 175 people and we were not sure that we will have that many guests.
The quoted us a price of $65 per person for a Saturday night in June. Hope this helps.

I am also getting married there in June. Everyone who I have spoken to that has had a wedding there has nothing but rave reviews. It is Victorian style and so reasonable in comparison to all these other places that were more gaudy and modern looking. They are very accomodating to all your requests. Good luck!
