Measurement Question

I am a bridesmaid for my cousin's wedding and there is something on this measurement form that I have not heard of before. They want the meaurement of my 'hollow to hem' and my 'hollow to waist' among many other things.

Anyone know what that means?

Hi,

I am pretty sure, they are referring to the hollow of your neck to waist and hem. But I'd double check first!

...but octbride03 is right...

HOLLOW TO HEM

When measuring hollow to hem, please wear the actual crinoline that you will wear with your gown. It will make a difference in the measurement. You also want to be sure to wear the same shoes or a similar heel height that you will wear during your wedding when taking this measurement.

Measure from the hollow of the neck to waist and then from the waist to the hem following the shape of the crinoline.

If the standard hollow to hem is given, add one inch for each size up.

Please be aware that sizing is not an exact science and alterations by an experienced seamstress will almost always be necessary for a proper fit.

YAY! I'm not as dumb as I think sometimes! Thanks Yabbobay for clearing it up for me as well!
