meeting the rabbi tonight

and i'm a little nervous for some reason ... i guess since we've only met him once before, i'm a bit weary of his ability (and he was recommended by FH's family which makes me even more scared)

things i asked were about his ceremony style, if he cares about shoulders covered, who stands under the chuppah, who witnesses the ketubah signing, etc. basically what his 'rules' are and if he would be willing to let you add personal touches to the ceremony.

also don't forget to ask about his fee! our rabbi doesn't take a fee directly, he asks us to make a donation to the rabbi's fund.

I would ask about the actual ceremony. I realized like a week before that I never asked about it and had no clue of what to do or how it goes down
also what items do u need for the ceremony. will he provide the kidush cup or u can use whatever u want, do u need witnesses and who they should be

so how did it go? I love my rabbi. He is allowing us to be as creative as we want but it is important to use to keep the jewish traditions prevalent.

I hope you like your rabbi as much as I like mine...definitely ask about covering shoulders, what kind of ring you are allowed, the format of the service, ct.

It went pretty well. he's pretty easy-going which is good so we can do just about anything we want lol

next step is for him to send us the actual script with everything he'll be saying (he just showed us an outline yesterday)
