Meeting w/ Patken & Duet this weekend - repost from 08 board UPDATE

Hi Ladies. So I'm finally meeting with photographers. I've chosen to meet with Duet and Patken, so far.

Could you guys tell me what questions I should ask them? What should I make sure they provide us with?

Also what are their packages like, what is included /not included? How much will it cost me for both just photography or photography and video?

Likewise which teams are good/bad from those places?

TIA

*****UPDATE****

So I went to both and it seems like you get more for your $$ with Duet. The only teams they have open for my date is David, TJ and Sam.

For Patken they reccomended Steve for us.

For those girls that have used DUet or Paken and have worked with any of those photographers...what has your experience been like?

Also, do you know of any other photographers that may be a little cheaper?

TIA

Aside from the books of photos they will show you, ask to see the proofs of an entire wedding.

The books they show to customers are usually the best photos from a wedding or multiple weddings...if you ask to see all the proofs, you'll get a better sense of what their style is like (and you'll see the good & the bad)

If they don't want to show you the proofs from a recent wedding...i would be a bit worried...I'm a firm believer in transparency when dealing with wedding vendors and they shouldn't hide anything, but that's just me
