Meeting w/ the boss... *update*

Hmmm... I don't know how I feel about this

My boss (nicest guy on earth) said he wants to meet with me today before I leave. These things, no matter how good of a job a person does, ALWAYS makes people feel nervous-- and I'm definitely one of those people!!

So I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing-- I mean, he could be telling me that he is giving me a raise but then again he could be telling me I'm getting laid off... I say laid off b/c I don't think he would fire me (ever) because I do an excellent job, I'm always on top of everything and I go above and beyond what my job title and duties are....

That being said, I'm still nervous- can someone give me a hug or reassure me?? He should be calling me in any minute now... I'll update after!!

it will be fine, our minds get the best of us sometimes.....plus, usually bosses tell you that you are being let go in the morning so that you don't work the rest of the day. I am sure you are fine. It's probably something you are not even thinking about...you'll be fine.

yeah, I personally have never been let go, let me preface that...lol...but I've seen people get let go, and its usually done first thing in the morning....so that they gather their things and don't work the rest of the day....

My boss does that to me sometimes and I get really nervous too!!! It's usually to ask to help him work on something.

Don't be nervous because as you said you could be getting a raise. If by some chance you get laid off think of it as a blessing right now with the holidays coming you can go on unemployment and be home to do all your holiday and wedding planning!!!!!!

OK UPDATE LADIES!!!



He gave me a raise!!!! And then he told me that I might be able to start working more hours soon (A few weeks ago I told him that if he had any extra I would gladly work them b/c I need as much money as I can get for the wedding). So he said that coming up he should be able to give me more... He then said that I answer the phones 'fabulously' and that he is very happy with everything I do...

I've now been working for him for a year...

He told me that if I was not getting medical benefits he would be able to pay me a lot more but the medical (he pays 100% of my medical BTW-- crazy!! He is such a nice man) but without that I would be getting more... So in just 10 months I will be able to go under Vinny's medical and then I will get paid even more!

Oh thank God, what a heart attack that was...
