MEETING W/ THE PRIEST

TONIGHT AT 7PM WHAT SHOULD ME AND MY FH BE READY FOR?????

FH and I were sooo nervous for our meeting I thought they were going to ask us all these really hard to answer questions or should I say uncomfortable questions, but it wasn't bad at all. Questions like, do you plan on having children, do you plan on getting divorced (I asked him if anyone actually said yes to that question!!) Simple stuff. I was nervous when filling out the info papers because we live together, but he was cool about it. The deacon we met with was so laid back and very understanding. good luck!

ours was more about dealing with paperwork....finding out where you were baptized, etc...

I was nervous put it was a piece of cake!

Mine asked us why we wanted to get married in the church, what does it mean to you, also asked why we wanted to marry each other.. then asked asked us questions seperately about the beliefs of the church and asked if we believe the same... (ex: having children) also asked where you were baptized, etc....

I was nervous too because we live together and my fiance isn't a practicing Catholic - it was fine though - they basically had us fill out some questions about each other - basic things like where we met, what we like and dislike about each other. And they asked things like when and where we were baptized, if we wanted a ceremony or full mass etc. They didn't make my fiance feel uncomfortable that he isn't Catholic but did want to know that should we have kids, we'd raise them Catholic. And they gave us info on places where we could do pre cana. Overall I worried so much and it was nothing to worry about.

I like all of you was nervous too but it was actually really nice. our priest asked about our relationships...how we got together and then he separated us and interviewed us separately. When we were done he said that he really felt the love that we had for each other and would be honored to marry us...That made me feel so good!
