Meeting w/ Videographer Tonight....

I so hope it goes well cuz ive been having such a hard time!

But, i never know what to ask when it comes to video, like are there any things I should make a point of asking?? TIA ladies!!!

Ummm, when we went to meet with the place that would be doing our photos/video, they just showed us a sample video and went over what they can do and that's pretty much it.

If you know specific things that you will want in the video, then I would ask them if they can do it.

I threw out my videographer interview q's, but here's some that I remember:

1) Ask what the source of light is. Almost ALL of them are on top of the camera, but it's better to ask. I know I didn't want someone running in with a big light waving around.

2) Ask how they decide what to add into the video and what they decide to leave out.

3) Ask what happens to raw footage and if you can acquire that if you want/how much it would cost.

4) The usual: how long have they been in the business/how many weddings they do per year/payment plan.

5) Do they provide a wireless mic for the groom to wear during the ceremony?

6) How long will the final video take?

7) How many copies do you get?

Mmm that's all I can remember, but if you google 'Questions to ask wedding videographer' you'll get 19319321 sites

ETA: Make sure you ask about any special effects that you might want! Like the bride spinning into the dress effect

Ask them to see previous videos if available and also, if your videographer is sick, do they have backup covering??

just finished watching one of their sample videos... Looks like they do amazing work. I hope everything goes well tonight to it's one less thing to worry about.... Sorry again I feel like a (___o___) lol

make sure you see a video of a 'real wedding'
not just highlights.
before we booked ours we watched 3 different weddings!!!! all 3 were different. 2 were edited great and 1 not so great but thats bcecause the bride wanted it that way
