Meeting with florists this weekend

Hey girls! So I'm meeting with both Pedestals and Flowers by Brian this weekend and I'm at a total loss of what I should be asking them. What kinds of questions did you come prepared with and is there someone that I should specifically be asking to do our flowers for the wedding. I'm also nervous to see whether there is a huge price difference between these two florists.
Meeting with Andrew Pascoe on Monday...is anyone using him???

These were mine:

Delivery charges?

Payment schedule?

When do you see your sample? Will you do sample prior to me booking?

You may want to ask how many flowers they're going to include in each arrangement. Some places will charge you an arm and a leg for, say, callas, put a ton in your sample, and skimp on the real thing.

I thought it was most important to ask if the florist himself/herself would be at the wedding.

Ask if they have any in-house centerpiece holders/stands/vases, because if they have to rent them, it's an additional expense. Ask to see them.

Bouquet size... my florist asked for the height of everyone getting a bouquet. This way they can adjust the size accordingly.

Pay in cash - no sales tax?

How many weddings they do in a day?

How far in advance do they prepare your cps and bo-k's (that morning, the night before)

How do they keep their flowers/arrangements-are they kept in refrigerators-how long?

My one piece of advice when going to see florists is: bring pictures of what you like-both centerpieces and bouquets. We went in with nothing and no real ideas of what we wanted and I wouldn’t do that again.
By the way, we went with Flowers by Brian, they are awesome. We worked with Stacey.

Wow Barbtony...thanks for the questions!!! My biggest issue is that I know what I want, but I haven't found any pictures of what I'm thinking. Plus I have an odd feeling that what I'm thinking is way over our budget hehe.

The best thing you can do is gather your pics or whatnot and ask - you never know!!!!!!!!

Lisalana--I've seen Andrew Pascoe's flowers and was completely blown away. I've heard he is more expensive but well worth it. Do you mind me asking approximately how much more he was compared to other florists you met with? Thanks!!
