Re: Meeting with Priest
we're actually getting married by a family friend that's a priest and our meeting was like, 'ok, what day, who's church, great.' when i met with the priest to do the intake at the church where i'm getting married he asked questions about me and FH. they also ask questions about each of your families. what are your parents like and what FH's parents are like- happy, married, divorced. that's about all i can help you with. i've also heard that they split you and FH up.

Re: Meeting with Priest
The father I saw talked about helping us getting married, the things that are request or need in ordered to get married in the church. Then he took us in the room one at a time to ask us questons. Then we set up the next thing to do our FOCCUS test and then we set our date.

Re: Meeting with Priest
FH isn't a practicing Catholic though he was baptized so they asked about that and had us go in separate rooms and fill in some basic questions about eachother and things like why we are getting married etc. Very easy straightforward stuff. It was a piece of cake (I had been worried because of FH) but even he said it was fine. Then they asked what day/time and gave us a book to help us pick out readings and also a 'To do' list for what the church needs in order for you to be married (baptismal certificates, marriage license etc.)

Re: Meeting with Priest
My meeting with the priest was abit ridiculous...it was 2 hours!!!
He went through the questions mentioned earlier on this post....my favorite was when he very seriously asked if we were related in any way....which would be hard since I'm white and FH is black!!

Re: Meeting with Priest
I really enjoyed our meeting with the Priest. He asked a few questions - will we welcome children, honor each other, love each other til death, etc - and chatted for a few minutes. It took 20 minutes at most.

Re: Meeting with Priest
It was relatively painless.
He asks you everything about your parents - their middle names, mother's maiden name, whether or not they are still married, are they both catholic, etc.
Then asked where you made your sacraments and if you are a member of a parish.
Then they separate the two of you and ask you each privately if you've ever been married before, want children, are under psychiatric care, etc.
Then we set the date, he said we'd get a phone call for pre-cana and that was it. It was longer than I expected, but it was only about 45 minutes to an hour.

Re: Meeting with Priest
my meeting was about hour and a half. But the father was a cute old man and a sweet heart. Just be honest.
Good Luck and dont worry the mos annoying part was being apart from FH for 15 mins.
