Meeting with Prospective Officiant.

We have a meeting later today with a prospective officiant. What should we ask?

I would talk to him or her casually first to see how you connect - you def should feel comfortable with your officiant

Def talk about fees - if there are any travel fees (if you are getting married at your RH)

and make sure they are willing to accomodate your views and different things you want - you need to mesh

if you are getting married at the RH, ask about PA systems and microphones. Ask about rehearsals (ours doesn't do them, so we are doing one on our own the night before in my parents backyard)

If you really want to ask if they have any references- see if you can speak to others that used them so you can get an idea how happy others were using that officiant- or if they had any problems.

(it's for finding a rabbi or cantor, but most of the questions are applicable for any officiant of any religion)
