I'm actually nervous about meeting with them. I spoke to Judy last week and she was so nice and funny. She explained to me everything that they will do for us and what we can put into our ceremony. They are the first officiant we are meeting and we don't know what to expect but i'm sure Rev. Joe is as nice as Judy is. I was surprised that they were available for our ceremony in such short notice. Thank you for those who recommended them to me and others.

Enjoy your meeting tonight. They will probably expect you to choose your vows and everything while you're there, so if you're not ready to do that tonight, you may want to preface the conversation by saying, 'We are meeting with a few officiants and since this is such a huge decision, we'd like to take a couple days and think about our decision before choosing our ceremony. We'd like to hear more about the ceremony and really just wanted to meet you in person.'
My fiance and I had no idea we would be deciding on everything that night, but we enjoyed it and really fell in love with the fact that we personalized our whole ceremony. Don't be afraid to mix and match the different samples they'll show you tonight! I think Joe and Judy are a good team and I feel confident that my ceremony will be beautiful. Let us know how it goes!

I'm sure you are going to enjoy your time there! 02bride is correct, they will ask you to pick out vows, readings, the format of your ceremony right there. That doesn't mean that you have to go with them. They do this for everyone so you can see how your ceremony will look before you choose them or anyone else. They will actually preform the ceremony for you so you can see if you like it or if you would like to pick ther readings/vows etc. Be prepared to go on an empty tummy as Judy will make sure you have a cup of coffie and something to eat (cookies, cake).
Also, ask lots of questions if you have any. Joe and Judy were great and very helpful. I don't know if other officiants will do this, but Judy has told me that they will preform any other ceremonies for us since we hired them for our wedding (baby naming ceremonies, baptisms, brisks, etc) for FREE! They are also here for us if we need to talk about anything personal or about the wedding. We haven't had to, but I know of some people who meet with them once a month about to discuss how they will raise children in a interfaith marriage, and any issues that might come up.
Enjoy yourselves tonight and good luck!

It went better than I expected
First things first, Rev. Joe and Judy are the nicest people i've met with while planning our wedding. They are funny and work really well together. We were ready to book with them even before we met them. I spoke to Judy last week over the phone and we hit it off easily. So I was willing to book them over the phone just so they'll hold the date for us. We aren't even considering any other officiant, they were our first choice and only choice. We got to pick out our vows, reading, opening prayers, stationary and the pronounciation of marriage tonight. We felt so comfortable with both of them like we were neighbors. We will be meeting at least one more time before the ceremony. If any brides have any questions you can email me at [email protected].
