Meeting with two photographers...UPDATED

Tomorrow ...my first appt is with Jacquie Lew Photography and the second is with Jadore Love photography, I,m excited b/c I've really been slacking with the planning lately, but now I'm back on track. This may sound crazy but is there any particular questions i should be asking when i meet with them?

So i met with both photographers today and now im torn between the two. Jacquie Lew was so nice and we had a great connection and we were very impressed with her work. She also had really great and packages that were very,very reasonable. We also met with Jenn & Efrain (very nice couple) from Jadore Love photography and we were floored with their work but the pricing was alittle higher. IDK what to do now b/c i like Jacquie b/c she was sooooo sweet and she is within my budget, however i think i like Jadore work a little more. Is it all about the connection with your photographer or more about their work? or both??

These are some questions I asked:

How many hours
How many edited prints do they give you
Will you get a DVD with rights to your pics
Are you going to get an online gallery
How many photographers
Can you give a 'must take' list

Here are some questions I would ask:

- How many hours will they spend with you? How much do they charge for extra hrs?

- Do they bring a 2nd photog or assistant?

- Do you get the rights to your pics?

- Do they stamp all the proofs with their name? This is one thing I love about my photog...she doesnt.

- How many photos on avg will they take?

- How many pics will they include in your album?

- Do they offer different album styles? Traditional and/or magazine style?

I think the connection is really important. This person is going to be around you ALL day long...on the most emotional day of your life. I would want someone that I like ALOT. But the work is important to. I lucked out and my photographer was my favorite person and the work I liked best. Have you looked into Imagine Studios? Not to make your search harder-- but Lia is amazing!

I went with who I thought was going to capture the day the best and for me I went over budget on photographer since those pictures will be what lasts a life time.

it is important to click with your photographer and like their work..... i would go with Jadore though since you really liked both personality wise i would base the deciding factor on work then

I think both are very important. It is really great if you click with your photographers but I feel like alot of times when you book like really big companies you sometimes don't get to meet your photogrher until the day to click with them I was booked with a big company and just started feeling nervous because I could not meet the photographer to see his work. I think it can also help you to make a decision when you click with a particular photographer. It is not important to some people tough as long as they do the work that you expect then everything will be fine. It really just depends on how you feel and what you want. If you like the style better....go with your gut feeling....good luck

For me it was more about our photographer's personality. They spend so much time with you. I agree that j'adore has amazing work.

Thanks for the input ladies. I going to think about it more and decide by next week. I'm just scared b/c I don't want to go over my budget. I guess it won't hurt alil lol..
