Has anyone seen the movie yet? We saw it last night. Wow, it was very moving. Hard to watch at times though.

Re: Mel Gibson's - The Passion
Saw it yesterday and yes it was very moving. I cried through most of the film and felt a bit numb at the end. Did you feel it was gory for the sake of gory or to show what Jesus went through?

I felt numb too afterwards. We had planned to go get appetizers somewhere afterwards and I decided after the movie I wanted to go home . As far as it being gory, I guess it was to show what Jesus went through.

I agree, I feel like it was a bit over the top but that was the point right? To show what Jesus went through. We saw it at 1pm and the rest of the day was kind of a blur.

I really felt kind of out of it too when we left. That is why I wanted to go home. There were times I had to look away.

Me too. At first I just closed my eyes, but then I started to put my face against FH's shoulder and put his button down shirt over my face. It got to be too much.

Some parts were very unbarable to watch for me. I looked away so many times. The girl next to me was crying. I was trying so hard to not cry

i didn't even try to hold back. it got to be too much and everyone around us was crying as well. Except for the 2 twelve year olds that were 2 seats away that had to chat the whole time. No respect whatsoever!

I cant believe you had kids talking while watching the movie We actually bought our tickets in the afternoon for an evening showing. All the evening showings were sold out when you got there. We got to the theater a half hour before showtime and we could barely find a seat with two together/

I guess we are the only ones that saw the movie so far. I know it was hard to get tickets. Alot of sold out shows.

I saw it on Friday night and I did not 'enjoy' it as much as I would have liked. It was too gory and bloody for me and I couldn't watch half the movie. It really was very disturbing.

I loved it, we saw it Sat night. I founf no anti semtism. The Romans were sick bastards and always will be.
I found the movie moving, compasionate and enlightning. I wanted to be a better person after seeing it. I think we needed this movie in this day and time
It sent a strong message to people that they need to believe and not doubt your faith whatever it is.
