Some friends are coming in and we're looking for a mellow bar to go to tomorrow night to just relax and catch up. Any suggestions? im in the Massapequa area.

Good luck. I think everywhere will be crazy tomorrow night. I went to McGory's (sp?) in Massapequa once and it was cool.

I think Napper Tandy's will be packed. Maybe try the Bulldog Bar and Grille. I remember them having a few different rooms and being cozy.

thanks for the ideas... keep them coming! i was thining maybe the Black Forest Brewery wouldnt be too bad. And sorry for not having any candy bar info :)

I have been to Nappers a few times recently and they have NEVER been packed...since the new smoking laws!
Other ideas the Library (farmingdale www.thelibrarycafe.com) havent been there in awhile but its cool, and I just found out its now owned by lessings downtown in farmingdale Blu Hanu in Huntington (really mellow and loungy) Swing Set in bayshore

I don't have any suggestions, but the bars are usually insane the day before thanksgiving with all the college kids home on break.

How about Effin Gruven in Wantaugh? I'll be at Mulcahey's tommorow night but i'm not sure how mellow it'll be there-we just know at least it's a bigger sized bar.
its hard to know if it will be crowded...but the scuttlebutt in seaford is pretty mellow

i swore that after last year i would never do the thanksgiving eve thing again. the bars get so insane, you can't move literally. i'm also in the pequa area and i'm sure by tomorrow night i'll be going out!
