Does anyone have an issue with getting your guy to plan something!? We go over this all the time. FH and I are talking about taking a mini vacation in May. Nothing major maybe rent a cabin for the weekend or something. Anyway, I have asked him if he would mind planning this vacation, since I am a little preoccupied here. Normally, I would go forward and do it...he has yet to start planning anything and May is approaching. The thing that REALLY gets me is that I know he is perfectly capable of planning something like this because last year he went to Cali for a UFC fight with friends!! That takes a lot more planning than a weekend away. The only conclusion I can come to is that he is lazy and knows I will pick up the slack eventually. Are a lot of men like this when it comes to planning or is it just my man?!
So I feel like an *** lol. My FH and I were talking about this last night and he pulled up a ton of cabins he had been researching. Shame on me.

Thats exactly how I feel. I don't want to sacrifice my vacation because of his lazy ***! So, I will probably pick up the slack.

Yes, I understand!
With mine he just waits to the very last minute with everything - its very annoying and frustrating!
I have to constantly remind him and sometimes it gets to the point where I just take care of it. He always thinks we have plenty of time....I just like to know things are done and taken care of. I need things done inadvance!

my fh is so laid back that he leaves all plans for the last minute which drives me nuts bc i am the total opposite and love to plan...so i end up just getting frustrated and doing it myself!!

FH is the total opposite of that. He's a planning nut -almost the point where it can get frustrating,
He has to have EVERYTHING mapped out...planend WELL in advance -thats just his style. He happens to love researching & looking things up...checking them out.
I wouldn't sweat it...everyone is different. But..I would mentioned to him how you feel. Especially since..he seems to be on top of things 'He wants'...but when it comes ot things you want -he's lazy. That wont ever change unless oyu have a convo with him about it.

Its all men! FH plays dumb which is the most frustrating...when I asked him if he has made the appointment or called to even make the appointment the answer is always...'wait, what?' I just pick up the slack and plan as I know most girls do but agreed, COMPLETELY frustrating!

You are a lucky one! Oh we have had many convo's and thats the thing I don't understand. He says he wants to go away, so I don't get it. If it's something he wants to do, why not do it. I really feel its an issue where he knows I will come through. With his friends, he knows they may not so he has to put forth more effort.

Exactly! So...just tell him. Dont make a 'big issues' out of it...but def. let him knwo how you feel. I gotta tell ya..I get so frustrated with FH..b/c he's TOO much of a planner. Drives em nuts sometimes! We're engaged one month and basically have almost everything booked. This is what I'm dealing with -a Nazi -planner! LOL

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. My FH planned our HM....& I don't even know where we are going! I want to kill him for not telling me. I know he'll cave in sometime, & I totally trust him. I should count my blessings that he is a good planner.

speaking on behalf of men... it depends on what you're planning. if it's something interesting to them... it will get done.

NOT just you man... most men are like that. Not all.. just most. Especialy if you normally take the initiative most of the time anyway. lol.... My FH is great, and has good ideas, just knows I get a better deal and knows I could to do it faster... thats his rationale.

This is exactly my situation. Only on occassions has he really pulled through and planned something. In those cases it was always to surprise me...if I ask him specifically to plan something though, it doesn't happen.
